What we read

If you connect Granola, we fetch the transcripts of your calls.

What we do with a transcript

We read the transcript and write down what was said: who was on the call, what they said about themselves, and who and what they talked about — other people, companies, places, events. Those notes are tied to that call. You can see, edit, and delete them. We ask a matching engine whether you, a contact, or something you talked about fits each Search you help with. It tells us how well each one fits, and we keep that match result.

What we store

• Your email and sign-in tokens.
• Searches you own: the abstract, the criteria, who you invited.
• Searches you help with: the abstract only. Never the criteria.
• For each call: the Granola note ID, its title, its date, who was on it, the notes extracted from it, and the match results.
• Intros and notes you chose to send.

Your Party

Joining a Party is mutual. You show up on the other person's invite list, and they show up on yours.

For each person, you pick in private how their Searches reach you. On: they reach you directly. Notify: each one waits in your Inbox until you join. Mute: they never reach you, and your calls are not matched against them. They are not told which one you picked.

Either of you can remove the other at any time. That ends it both ways.

Who sees what

• A supporter sees the abstract of each Search they help with, their own suggestions, and the notes from their own calls. They can edit or delete those notes.
• An owner sees their criteria, who is helping, and the intros and notes supporters chose to send. Never a supporter's calls or match results.
• The operator of this site can see the database. That includes the notes from your calls.

Deleting

• Delete a note. Its words are erased. We keep a one-way fingerprint of it, so the same note is not added again from that call. A draft you have not sent stays, for you to edit or dismiss.
• Disconnect Granola. Matching stops. Drafts you have not sent are deleted, and so are the match results. Your calls and their notes stay until you delete them. We keep the date we had read up to, so reconnecting does not read the same calls twice.
• Delete everything from your calls. Every note from your calls is deleted. So are the people kept from them, unless a reply you sent points to them. Drafts you have not sent and the match results are deleted too. For each call we keep only its Granola note ID and date, so it is not read again.
• Replies you sent are not touched by any of these.

Leaving

Export your Searches as JSON at any time. Delete your account and everything above is deleted.
